Chase Howard Claims Checkers at Mason City Motor Speedway with POWRi WAR/WINS

Mason City, IA. (7/21/24) Chase Howard would run undeniably smooth and speedy in night one of the northern Iowa swing at Mason City Speedway with the POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League, running in conjunction with the Western Iowa Non-Wing Sprints, to notch his inaugural career feature victory to kick-start the Hawkeye State weekend event.

Racing onto the quick surface of Mason City Speedway, POWRi WAR, running in conjunction with WINS, would find talented traditional sprinters witnessing Tom Curran and Cam Schafer each earning heat racing victories.

Kick-starting the initial green flag start with high-point qualifier Cam Schafer rolling an invert of six as Ben Woods would gain the lead on the opening lap with Chase Howard blasting into the runner-up spot and Cam Schafer, Taylor Forbes, and Tom Curran ran within the opening lap top five.

Overtaking for the lead on lap four would find rookie-of-the-year-leading Chase Howard take the preferred position as Cam Schafer followed in the passing trend with Ben Woods rebounding in third as a swiftly closing Tom Curran moved into fourth and Jakeb Boxwell rounded out the top five around the mid-point marker.

Holding steady out front Chase Howard would not be denied while emerging victorious with the POWRi WAR Sprint League, running in conjunction with the Western Iowa Non-Wing Sprints, at Mason City Motor Speedway to notch his first yearly league victory. Staying in the hunt Cam Schafer would finish runner-up as leader of three laps Ben Woods completed the final podium placements.

Challenging closely behind would find Tom Curran finish fourth as Jakeb Boxwell rounded out the top-five finishers for the POWRi WAR, running in conjunction with WINS, at Mason City Speedway on Night One.
