Tulsa, OK (6/22/24) Trey Marcham would lead the final fifteen laps of an intense twenty-five lap feature to claim his first checkers with the POWRi West Midget League of the season while battling up-front at Port City Raceway in the first stand-alone league event of the year.
Early on-track action would find Kris Carroll setting the quickest hot-lap time of 9.89-second lap with Andrew Felker and Kyle Jones each earning the heat racing win as Felker would gain the high-point award after driving from fourth to first in his heat racing victory.
Going green flag racing with Andrew Felker starting pole and Kris Carroll lined up outside row one, Kris Carroll would grab the initial lead on the high side as Andrew Felker would move into the runner-up spot while trying to stay close to the lead. Trey Marcham, Kyle Jones, and Ryker Pace would all advance into the early running top five.
Restarting after an early caution on lap five would find Andrew Felker overtake for the lead running the low line as Trey Marcham would shoot into the runner-up spot with Kris Carroll holding steady in third sticking to the treacherous top side.
Stepping out to the quick but tricky high line, Trey Marcham would grab the lead around lap ten with Andrew Felker and Kyle Jones battling for the runner-up position side by side for several laps as Kris Carroll and Trey Zorn ran inside the top five.
Checking out on the field in the late stages of the feature, Trey Marcham would not look back holding the front of the class to earn his twelfth career league feature win as Kyle Jones placed runner-up with leader of five laps Andrew Felker finishing in the final podium position.
Staying in the hunt for the front all night Kris Carroll would place fourth after leading the opening five laps with midget-debuting Cooper Miller hard-charging to round out the top-five finishers for the POWRi West Midget League at Port City Raceway.
