Belleville, IL. (10/4/2023) Embarking on a three-venue journey spanning seven events throughout Illinois, the newly sanctioned POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association would witness the competitive rise of Shane Morgan capturing the inaugural season points championship throughout an intense and hard-fought yearly battle.
Placing inside the top ten in every seasonal battle, Shane Morgan of Creve Coeur Illinois would drive to five top-five performances throughout the season to capture the yearly title over Monmouth Illinois wheelman Russell Johnson by a mere fifty-points margin of victory. Reuben Haslett of Lexington Illinois would end the year slightly ahead of rookie-of-the-year winner Michael Hermacinski as defending champion and winner of four events Mark McMahill rounded out the seasonal top five in the standings.
