Belleville, IL. (10/8/2023) Engaging in eight events in the competitive 2023 racing season, the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series presented by MVT Services would witness an intense battle of on-track performances at a duo of venues as Don Grable would find the championship-winning formula for the third-year series.
Winning his series championship, Don Grable would complete the season with five top-five performances at Aztec Speedway and Vado Speedway Park while also notching a pair of heat race wins on the yearly quest for a title. Finishing inside the top fifteen in every feature start of the season, Grable would have a yearly best showing of runner-up on May 26th at Vado Speedway Park.
Using consistency to clinch the championship in the final event of the season, Don Grable denied the late-season push of points from runner-up placement Rick Ziehl as well as Jesse Baker who rounded out the podium placements in yearly points.
