Venturing to Aztec with sixteen entries while kicking off the Speedway doubleheader weekend would find Alex Pettas, Lorne Wofford, and Jesse Baker each notch heat racing wins with Alex Pettas gaining the pole-starting grid for the feature event.
Going green flag feature racing for the fifth time in 2023 would find Rick Ziehl gaining the preferred position from starting third to earn his third career DWSS victory with eighth-starting Caleb Saiz placing a solid runner-up.
Keeping close, Jesse Baker would finish third as Alex Pettas placed fourth with Blair Cooper rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series on Night One at Aztec Speedway.
Proceeding into the second night of weekend racing would witness Spencer Hill, Lorne Wofford, and Don Grable each winning heat races with Caleb Saiz earning the pole-starting grid for the feature event.
Flying into the second night of feature action with seventeen entries would find Caleb Saiz clinch the lead while wheeling his way out front of the field to notch his third career POWRi DWSS feature victory with Lorne Wofford finishing runner-up as Jesse Baker finalized the podium placements.
Contending up front, Spencer Hill would finish fourth with seventh-starting Don Grable rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series Night Two of the weekend double-header at Aztec Speedway.
