Mitchell Moore Triumphant in POWRi 305 vs. RaceSaver Sprint Battle at US-36 Raceway

Belleville, IL. (7/23/23) Managing control of the winged 305 Sprint feature event in the series debut at US-36 Raceway on Friday Night, the POWRi 305 Sprint Series would take on the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint track regulars in the Summer Nationals with Mitchell Moore claiming his first career series win in an outstanding high-banked thriller.

Starting the night in Osborn Missouri would see Jack Potter set the quickest hot-lap time of 12.433-second lap as Brett Combs and Mike Moore would each earn heat racing victories with Moore attaining the high-point qualifier award.
Launching on the feature green flag racing would find front-starter Mike Moore battle front-row companion Brett Combs into the first pair of corners with the field calculated for position behind the leading duo.

Flying through the field as the laps ticked away at a rapid pace, perennial open-wheel talent Mitchell Moore would hard-charge into the lead position from starting twelfth by using the many laps of experience around US-36 Raceway throughout his illustrious career.

Earning his first career victory in the POWRi 305 Sprint Division, Mitchell Moore would outduel sixth starter and runner-up placement Jay Russell to capture the feature win. Ninth-starting Jacob Dye would clinch third as Mike Houseman Jr finished fourth with rookie of the year contender Natalie Doney rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi 305 Sprint Series feature event at US-36 Raceway for the eleventh race of the 2023 season.
