Belleville, IL. (7/16/2023) Frequenting to the familiar running grounds of the fourth sanctioned seasonal competition, the POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association would once again witness Mark McMahill return to winning form and lead all laps around Spoon River Speedway to earn the feature win and his third victory of the 2023 racing season.
Starting the fourth night of POWRi sanctioning at Spoon River Speedway, the IMRA would find the dominant McMahill notch the heat racing win as well as gain the pole-starting grid for the fifteen-lap feature event.
Green flag feature racing would find Mark McMahill defending the front of the field for the duration of the feature laps with second-starting Shane Morgan earning a solid runner-up showing.
Staying contiguously close to the leaders, Dave Wietholder would finish third as Michael Hermacinski placed fourth with Jim Picardi rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Illinois Midget Racing Association at Spoon River Speedway.
