(5/28/23) Offering a fast-paced second-weekend double-header of racing excitement, the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series presented by MVT Services would show outstanding action aplenty at Vado Speedway Park as Vance Wofford and Lorne Wofford would grab feature victories on the Memorial weekend event.
Kicking off the Vado Speedway Park doubleheader weekend on Friday night would find Royal Jones and Vance Wofford each notch heat racing wins with Jason Ziehl gaining the pole-starting grid for the feature event.
Going green flag feature racing for the third time in 2023 on Friday would find Vance Wofford gaining the preferred position from starting third to lead every lap and earn his second career DWSS victory with Don Grable placing with a solid runner-up showing.
Keeping close, Caleb Saiz would finish third as Dylan Harris placed fourth with Lorne Wofford rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series on Night One of the Memorial-Weekend Double-Header at Vado Speedway Park.
Proceeding into the second night of opening weekend racing would witness would find Royal Jones and Lorne Wofford each winning heat races with Jones earning the pole-starting grid for the feature event.
Flying into feature action on Saturday would find Lorne Wofford wheeling his way out front to notch his second career POWRi DWSS feature victory with Jesse Baker finishing runner-up as Wes Wofford finalized the podium placements.
Contending up front, Royal Jones would finish fourth with Dylan Harris rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series Night Two of the Memorial-Weekend double-header at Vado Speedway Park.
