Devon Amos with Series-Opening Weekend Sweep of POWRi DMSS at Aztec Speedway

Belleville, IL. (4/16/23) Flying onto the scene with a fast-paced opening weekend double-header of racing excitement at Aztec Speedway, the POWRi Desert Micro Series would showcase outstanding action aplenty as Devon Amos would grab feature wins in A-Class Wing Micros to jump-start the inaugural 2023 racing season.

Kicking off the series at Aztec Speedway’s doubleheader opening weekend would Devon Amos notch the heat racing win while also gaining the pole-starting grid for the feature event for the newly launched series.

Going green flag feature racing for the first time in 2023 on Friday would find Devon Amos defending the front of the field for the full laps to earn the first-ever career DMSS victory with Joshua Huish placing a solid runner-up showing from starting outside row-one.

Pacing closely, Brandon Martin would finish third with Kasyn Mathews hard-charging from starting sixth to placing fourth as Jerry Campbell rounded out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Micro Series on Night One of the Season and Series Opening-Weekend Double-Header at Aztec Speedway.

Cruising into the second night of opening weekend racing would witness Devon Amos again claim the heat racing win to once again inherit the covenanted high-point award to notch a pole starting spot.

Feature action Saturday would find Devon Amos sweeping the entire weekend by wheeling his way out front and protecting the lead to notch his second career POWRi DMSS feature victory with second-starter Joshua Huish again finishing runner-up as Glen Holmes hard-charged to placing in the final podium spot after starting fifth.

Contending up front for the entire feature, Brandon Martin would finish fourth with Kasyn Mathews rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Micro Series and Night Two of the series-beginning weekend double-header at Aztec Speedway.
