(11/20/2022) Revisiting the speedy Southern Illinois Center on December 17th, in DuQuoin Illinois, will see POWRi nod to the racing legacy of one of the region’s most decorated competitors with the reviving of the Junior Knepper 55. Adding even more prestige to the competition will witness the all-time win-count leader in POWRi history include their name to the growing list of outstanding entrants.
Combining a trio of career victories across three different racing divisions would find Joe B Miller, of Millersville Missouri, tally to an astonishing fifty-one career POWRi League victories. Gaining his league-leading forty-fifth Outlaw Micro win, Miller would also acquire his fifth WAR win to add to his inaugural Outlaw Sprint victory in 2022.
Wheeling and winning in various forms of open-wheel, the 2017 POWRi Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool champion Joe B Miller still chases the elusive first Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League feature victory although finishing close on several occasions. With a history of hair-raising indoor action, will Miller become the first driver to capture the illustrious quad-crown feature wins within all POWRi competitions?
Registering into the indoor Junior Knepper 55 event will see Joe B Miller wheel the familiar Lewis Trucking, Speed Shack Performance, Outlaw Mini-Loaders, Fast Four Media, BP Fab, Schure Built Suspensions, Chris Lewis, BAM Racing, Schure Built Suspensions, Spike Chassis, Speedway Toyota Racing Engine #51b into winning contention against a “who’s-who” list of open-wheel talents.

The “Junior Knepper 55”, a 55-lap race honoring the famed car number which adorned Walter Knepper’s storied career, will feature the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League competing on a specially-constructed dirt oval inside the well-known Southern Illinois Center near the DuQuoin Fairgrounds with no other support classes on the racing docket.
