Belleville, IL. (9/28/2022) Heavily involved in open-wheel racing while having an immeasurable impact on the overall landscape in the industry, former champion car-owner and multi-time feature-winning racer will be remembered on Saturday, October 1st at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex for the Inaugural Chad Shields Memorial; with increased winnings of $4400 on the line.
Engaged in racing since 1997, Chad Shields earned a pair of feature racing wins within the POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League as a driver and more recently would gain notoriety as the POWRi West Midget League Champion Car-Owner in 2019 & 2020. Continuing to build the future stars of the Midwest, many of the top talents finding success from Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex and beyond can regularly trace their roots back to the helping hand of Chad Shields Racing.
Special Thanks to the following donors for helping to make the inaugural Chad Shields Memorial on Saturday, October 1st at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex an increased purse event with extra incentives up for grabs from the competitors.
