Belleville, IL. (9/5/22) Offering a fast-paced double-header of racing excitement to wrap up the season in style at Vado Speedway Park, the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series presented by MVT Services would show amazing action aplenty as Caleb Saiz and JT Imperial would each grab feature wins over the racing weekend finale.

Kicking off the Vado Speedway Park doubleheader weekend on Friday night would witness Lorne Wofford, Tuesday Calderwood, and Caleb Saiz each notch heat racing wins with Saiz gaining the pole-starting grid for the feature event.

Going green flag feature racing Friday would find pole-starting Caleb Saiz defending the front of the field for the full twenty-five laps to earn his second career DWSS victory with Colton Hardy maintaining a solid runner-up showing from starting second.

Lorne Wofford would finish third as Rick Ziehl drove from starting tenth to placing fourth with Don Grable rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series on Night One of the Weekend Double-Header at Vado Speedway Park.

Cruising into the final night of the season would witness Terry McCarl, Royal Jones, and JT Imperial each claim heat racing wins with Imperial earning the high-point award to notch a pole starting spot.

Feature action Saturday would find pole-sitting JT Imperial wheel his way out front while protecting the lead to notch his first career POWRi DWSS feature victory with sixth-starter and Night One Winner Caleb Saiz finishing runner-up as hard-charger Colton Hardy placing in the final podium placement from starting twelfth.

Contending up front for the entire feature, Lorne Wofford would finish fourth with Wes Wofford rounding out the top five feature finishers for the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series and Night Two of the season-ending weekend double-header at Vado Speedway Park.
