J Kinder Wins Nail-bitter in Lake Ozark POWRi 305 Sprint Feature

Belleville, IL. (5/30/22) Leaving the best for last, J Kinder would only need to lead the final fifteen feet of the feature event at the Spring Sprint & Midget Nationals in Lake Ozark Speedway’s POWRi 305 Sprint Division Saturday night, gaining his sixth divisional feature victory in the previous five seasons at The Lake.

Entering a stout field of top-notch competitors, the LOS POWRi 305 Sprints would wrap up the night’s action for the Spring Sprint & Midget Nationals on a perfectly prepared track with outstanding wing-to-wing action aplenty as Mike Trent and Randy Martin would each earn a heat racing victory with Martin grabbing the night’s high-point qualifier award and pole-starting grid for the feature event.

Launching on the initial green flag would find outside front-row starter Mike Trent grabbing the front of the field with Randy Martin settling the runner-up spot while setting his sights on the leader.

Protecting the lead with precision Trent and Martin would battle in the front of the field as the laps clicked away at a rapid pace. J Kinder would begin to stalk the front-running pair, truly entering the frame with five laps remaining.

Hitting the high-side marks to perfection, Kinder would snatch victory from the other competitors in the final feet of the feature to win his first seasonal event. Leading all but the final lap, Mike Trent would place second in a thrilling race with Randy Martin placing third.

“Anytime I can get a win is a great night, but to be able to run with these two guys and pull off the victory makes everything even more fun,” said an elated J Kinder in Lake Ozark Speedway’s Winner’s Circle.

Kenny Potter would be in contention toward the front all night to place fourth as Matt Fox rounded out the top-five finishers for the Lake Ozark Speedway POWRi 305 Sprints feature event.
