Caleb Stelzig Shines in POWRi NMMRA/Vado Non-Wing Feature Victory

Belleville, IL. (5/8/22) Earning his second feature win of the season, Caleb Stelzig would flex his racing muscles over the weekend to win the twenty-five-lap feature event at Vado Speedway Park with the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association with the POWRi Sunset Grill Vado Non-Wing Sprints.

Visiting the pristine and picturesque pits of Vado Speedway Park to celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend, the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association co-sanctioned with the POWRi Sunset Grill Vado Non-Wing Sprints would first witness the heat racing wins of Caleb Saiz and Rick Ziehl each grabbing the early advantages as Saiz would also earn the events high-point honors and start from the pole position in the twenty-five lap feature event.

Green-flag feature racing would find the seventh starting and defending series Rookie of the Year Caleb Stelzig snag the lead and hold on to pocket his fourth career NMMRA feature victory just ahead of Troy Treharn. Treharn would be in the mix for the win only to settle into eventually placing runner-up. Hard-charging Joshua Shipley would race to finish third while passing eight other competitors with defending series champion Caleb Saiz finishing fourth as Robert Herrera rounded out the top-five finishers for the POWRi NMMRA/Sunset Grill Vado Non-Wing Sprints at Vado Speedway Park.
