Belleville, IL (5/2/22) Adjusting to meet the demand of the unprecedented nationwide tire shortage, Performance Open Wheel Racing Inc. and Hoosier Racing Tire have mutually agreed to open up the requirements on Right and Left Rear tires to any Hoosier tire compound or size, including all Chili Bowl Hoosier tires, for all Lucas Oil POWRi National & West Midget League events until further notice.
“We’re trying to limit the impact the current market outlook has on our race teams and series,” said Kenny Brown. Adding “With the various cancelations and rescheduling’s in League racing across the board, a temporary remedy was needed and hopefully this adjustment will give Hoosier time to resupply inventory lines as well as giving teams a choice”.
POWRi officials are monitoring the tire supply closely and will update further on a league-by-league basis. Future updates will be announced as soon as details for any rescheduling or cancelations are verified with corresponding venues.
