Loyet Wins O’Reilly POWRi National Midget Series Season Opener

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Brad Loyet started the O’Reilly POWRi National Midget Series 2007 season in style Friday by taking the opener at Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill. Loyet led all 25 laps after starting on the pole, beating Mike Hess and Jerry Coons Jr. at the quarter-mile.

The Sunset Hills, Mo. Native also finished second in his heat race after starting fourth. “I’m very proud we were able to kick off the season the way we did,” said Loyet, driving the No. 05 Loyet Motorsports RaceBumpers.com/Horcher Brothers Photographers/Puma/Loyet Landscaping Spike/Esslinger. “We did what we had to do, and hopefully this will carry over Saturday night.” Saturday’s race is scheduled for Lincoln County Speedway in Lincoln, Ill.
