POWRi West ready to head east to I-30 Speedway

Tulsa, OK (April 16, 2017) It has been over three weeks since the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midgets presented by HE&M Saw kicked off their 2017 race season, but the series will return to action on Saturday, April 22nd at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. After being the only POWRi West driver to make both A-mains during the Fourth Annual Turnpike Challenge, 2016 POWRi West Champion, Steven Shebester will take a slim 30-point lead over Missouri driver, Wesley Smith, into the evening’s events. Currently, Matt Moore, Kade Morton, and Andrew Deal round out the top five in the series standings.

Shebester, a 2016 POWRi West winner at I-30 Speedway, is expected to be joined in Little Rock by 2016 series runner-up Grady Chandler and third place finisher Blake Edwards. Several other drivers have also committed to making the trip east including youngsters Matt Moore and Cannon McIntosh, who will both be making their first visits to the I-30 Speedway; as well as returning drivers Andrew Deal and Hunter Fischer. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
